Sandi Haber Fifield has three unique, but related bodies of work represented at Littlejohn Contemporary. In “Grids”, she utilizes filmic narrative, contrasting focus, and appropriated imagery to draw associative relationships between individual photographs. Many of the images have personal and political significance, while others are more allegorical in mood. With her “Portrait” series, Haber Fifield explores a shifting relationship between the real and the ideal – between art and life – in photographs that were made in the Metropolitan Museum and the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. Lastly, in her “Flower” series, Haber Fifield again utilizes contrasting focus as she celebrates the emotional vitality and decay of one of life’s most simple symbols of beauty. Sandi Haber Fifield has been widely exhibited throughout the United States
in both group and solo exhibitions. Her photographs are in numerous private
and public collections including The Art Institute of Chicago, The DeCordova
Museum, The High Museum, and MoMA. |
